Easter '07

How we spent Easter of 2007. First we went to church. It was a very good sermon and the singing was awesome. Then we stopped by McDonald's to grab some lunch. (Eric was on call this weekend and had received a phone call while we were in church so our lunch plans were changed.) We came home and ate our yummy McDonald's and then Eric was off to work for a while. When he got home we decided that we needed to get out and price some wood. We are rebuilding our back deck and building a shed. When we got home from pricing everything Eric and Thomas went to work on the existing deck. They managed to get the entire deck knocked out and 'cleaned' up by 7pm. They started around 6pm. Now we have no deck and the dogs aren't very happy. They can't get to the back door. Too bad!(j/k) The only bad thing is that we need to get started on the new deck ASAP because we are planning on having Jacob's birthday party here in a little over 2 weeks. That may or may not happen. But that is ok we still have a front yard that we can supervise the kids in if we need to. Well I know that our Easter probably wasn't as exciting as everyone else's but we had an awesome family day. That is all that I care about. And the boys learned the meaning of Easter. I was also told the reason we have an Easter bunny and not an Easter chicken. I asked Eric why we have an Easter bunny when bunnies don't lay eggs, chickens do. Thomas overheard and explained it to me this way. 'Mom the Easter bunny goes and gets the eggs from the chickens and delivers them to everyone because he is faster.' Well duh on me. I should have known that it was something as simple as that. Have a great week.

Lord - Please be with us as we get everything in order to build the deck. Please help Eric not to wear himself out between work and building the deck. Thank you for everything that you have given us. In Your Name - Amen
