Whew!

What a week! We have been busy busy busy! But enjoying it. I got a phone call Tuesday from my brother-in-laws parents wanting to know if I wanted them to come and get Xander. I told them that if they wanted to come and get him that they were more than welcome, I'm not going to keep grandparents from seeing their grand baby! So they decided that they would come and get him so that they could spend some time with him before Michelle and Mike come home. Xander was so happy to see his GG and Paw-paw. Thomas and Jacob miss Xander and so do Eric and I. It was pretty cool to have him here. But at the same time I'm exhausted. I still have the other little boy for Wednesday and Thursday but I don't get as tired chasing him and Jacob as I did chasing Jacob and Xander.

Well anyway..... on Friday we leave to go to Illinois for a week. I hope that I get to 'relax' while we are away. But I seriously doubt that will happen. We have a lot to do while we are there. I like taking trips like this. We get to spend some great family time while driving and the kids really are good in the car for 15 hours. We do stop quite a bit for potty breaks and walking. There is one road side rest area that we stop at every time we go up there and on the way back. We don't do it on purpose but it is pretty much the middle of the trip both ways. Anyway back to what I was saying.... we stop there and stay for a good hour and go potty (the potties there are 'clean') and let the kids just run. There is a huge open grassy area that has shade and tables. The boys love it. This year, if we can, I would like to see if we can drive through Cairo, that is where the Ohio River and the Mississippi River meet, and I would love to see it. I don't think it would be that much out of the way but we will have to see. I love driving because you get to see so much. The first time we made this trip was on our honeymoon and Eric probably thought that I was a complete dork, I was so excited and couldn't wait to get on the road. I love to go new places and see new things. Now I pretty much know the way we go and can look at the map for reference only.

Well I guess I'm done rambling and boring you so I will stop now and go start getting things together for the trip. I'm a major list maker and I start packing a few days in advance. That way I'm not stressed and trying to do it all in one day or in my case I would put it off till the very last minute. Well I will update when we get back. Please keep us in your prayers.

Dear Lord - Thank you for us being able to take this trip. Please help us to get there safely and Lord please let Michelle and Mike arrive home safely Thursday. Lord thank you for everything you have given us. Amen
