Let's Play Catch Up!

It has been quite awhile since my last post. I don't feel like I've been too terribly busy but I have been. I have been trying to get my house straightened up and clean so that all I have to do daily is vacuum and pick up toys. I'm caught up on the laundry so that I can take Saturday and Sunday off. It is so nice not to have to do laundry for 2 days. I have also been working on getting my kitchen counter decluttered. It is still a work in progress but I have been keeping up with the dishes. For those of you who know me that is a BIG deal! We have gone to the zoo, been out at the lake, and had family over. We also have gone and visited family. So I guess I have been pretty busy.

The zoo was a lot of fun. The boys had a blast. The last time we went to the Houston Zoo I was pregnant with Jacob and didn't know it yet. It was hot!!! Guess what! It was hot this time too! We went to the Fort Worth Zoo back in February or March. It was while Eric was in Oklahoma for training and he got the weekend off so we met at my Mom's in Arlington. The boys loved that zoo too. Anything to do with outside and Jacob is happy.

My sister and family have been down twice within the past week. Now Jacob and Xander are asking for each other daily. It is so cute to watch them play. They came one day just for a visit and then they came on Friday on their way to Hilltop to pick up the boys. It was so nice to wake up Saturday morning, get dressed, put on makeup and do my hair and not have to stop to get onto the boys for fighting. But I got ready as quick as I could and headed out to Hilltop, I missed my boys! We were having our annual family BBQ at my Aunt and Uncles' house. It was a lot of fun. I got to see 2 out of 3 of my cousins. We all used to be so close but life has happened and now we don't see each other like we would like too.

Now I'm stuck at home for the next couple of days because Jacob is running a fever. You wouldn't know it by looking at him right now but at around 2pm you will notice. The Motrin will bring the fever down to nothing and then it wears off and he is pale, laying on the floor or couch and just down right not feeling good. Then the Tylenol or Motrin, which everone it is time for, kicks in and he is off and running. He hasn't been around any other kids that have been sick so we aren't sure what it going on. The fever came on around 7pm last night. He just laid down on the couch and went to sleep. It was when I picked him up to put him to bed that I noticed the fever. I knew he was tired because he has not gotten much sleep the past few nights but I wasn't expecting a fever. It has gone as high as 102* and as low as 98*. So we are staying home and waiting it out. I'm praying that it only last 24 to 48 hours. Please pray for us.

Well now that I think I have caught everyone up on our life I will be going and trying to finish working on that kitchen counter.

Dear Lord - Please be with Jacob as his body fights off whatever this is. Please also be with us as we do our best to help him get over it. Thank you for our family and the time that we have been able to spend together. Amen
