Well this has been a very odd week. Monday Thomas didn't have school because it was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Fine by me we got to spend more time together. Here comes the odd part. It got dadgum cold here this past weekend and then froze!!! It didn't get above 33 degrees for about 3 days. Right now it is 30. So Thomas didn't have school yesterday and Eric didn't have work, they shut the yard down. So we had a family day. YEA!!!!!! Then it rained, sleeted, and all the fun jazz again yesterday and last night. But Thomas was able to go to school today. They had a 2 hour delay. So Thomas is at school, Eric is at work and Jacob and I are at home. Jacob is not sure what to do since Bubba has been home for 4 days. He cried when Eric left for work, 10am. So now we are having a very calm day. I have things that I need to get done today outside of the house but I'm not sure I want to drive. Eric drove us to Thomas' school today because it has a steep incline and I wasn't sure of myself enough to drive, but I have to go and get him this afternoon because Eric won't be home early enough to go get him. Also so that I wouldn't have to get Jacob out of the car and haul him in and through the school. Had some things to take care of in the school. Thomas is so excited about getting to go back to school. This morning he wasn't so excited until I reminded him that he would get to wear his new jeans and shoes. He got shoes, jeans, and shirts during the past 4 days. I was going stir crazy yesterday so we went shopping. Hey you can only sit cooped up in the house for so long with 2 very active boys! Now I have tons of laundry and cleaning to do since I didn't do much of it yesterday. Plus with it being cold and wet Eric has been going through clothes like crazy.(He works outside a lot) But I am excited about getting back to my 'normal' schedule. I was supposed to go back to work today but due to the weather they cancelled it. But that is ok because with Thomas having a 2 hour delay at school I would have been late for work and I don't like that. I work for my church in the nursery during Ladies Bible Class on Wednesday mornings. I so enjoy it. I get to get some adult interaction and Jacob gets to play with kids. Everyone is happy. So that is a look into what has been going on in The Ray house over the past 4 days.
Lord - Please be with the kids and teachers today. I know that the kids are very excited to be back at school and very active. Please be with those on the roads traveling. Please be with those who are still iced in and not able to get out and about. Help everyone to stay dry, warm and safe. In Your Name - Amen.
