Finally

We are finally on the road to good health again!!!! Here is a run down of the past week in the Ray house.

Friday - Kept Sarah's kids as normal. Jacob starts coughing in the PM, to the point of gagging and we figure it is just a cold and go on about our business.

Saturday - Jacob is a little whinny but we figure it is from being up late Friday night. Still coughing. Eric goes out with a friend he used to work with comes home coughing. We decide that he is coughing because he was around cigarette smoke.

Sunday - Jacob and Eric still coughing but go to Sunday school. We leave after class and take E and J home. Thomas and I go back to church and then out to eat with some of the popsclass families. I start coughing at lunch but at the same time a piece of my food went down wrong. Didn't think anything of it. By that afternoon and early evening J, E, and I are starting to feel much worse.

Monday - Eric goes to work for about an hour and then comes home and goes to bed. Boys get up and Jacob is still coughing and feeling worse. I try to get him an appointment but couldn't get him in till Tuesday, ok. I get Eric an appointment for later that afternoon. We all go with him because I want to know what the doctor says and I can't leave the boys at home. Eric is now running a 103* temp. The doctor comes in and takes one look at the 4 of us and determines we all have Type A flu. She gives us all meds and sends us home. Thomas at this point is just starting to cough. The doctor tells us to keep him home from school on Tuesday, just to be sure and to get at least 24 hours of meds into him. We go home and do nothing but lay around, Eric and Jacob that is. Thomas, who feels fine, wants this or that or to do this or that. Which means that I don't get to just sit. Everyone is in bed by 6:30pm.

Tuesday - Eric is still home from work due to the fever yesterday and doctors orders. Jacob is still just laying around. Thomas is so ready to go to school it isn't even funny. I am finally able to lay down and rest since Eric is feeling better. Everyone is starting to get restless.

Wednesday - Eric goes back to work. Thomas goes to school. I don't go to work after talking to Sarah everyday since Sunday and we decide it is best for me and Jacob to not go to Ladies Bible Class. I start to get some energy back and Jacob is ready to drive me nuts. He is back to his old self. The boys and I go to church Wednesday night. It was AWESOME!!!!!

Thursday - Eric at work, Thomas at school and Jacob goes back to school. I go home and sit till time to go and get Jacob from SonShine School. I didn't talk to anyone from about 9:30 till 12:00. Go and get Jacob and the poor little thing is still so tired. He takes a very long nap.

And that brings us to today Friday - Eric at work, Thomas at school and Jacob and I at home. I had just Vivie today. She is such a little fireball. I just absolutely love her. Jacob is still very tired. All the info I have read on Type A flu say that it can take up to 2 weeks to get your energy back. Poor little Jacob. We all still have the cough but we are all on really strong cough medicine. We are slowly getting back into the swing of things.

I hope and pray that everyone out in blog land is doing well and staying dry and healthy. Have a great weekend.

Lord - Thank you for allowing us to get over the flu so quickly and for it not being as bad as it could have been. Please help us to continue to get well and stay well. In Your Name - Amen

So sorry to hear you guys have all been sick. We did that once and Joann Walker showed up at our door with kleenex, soup and magazines. :) We were rich in many ways back then. Blessings to your family for health and energy.
