Back to School

Today is the first day of school. Thomas was so excited this morning. I went in and woke him up and the first thing he did was get dressed. I was very impressed. Then he asked for waffles for breakfast so waffles it was. He ate his waffle went and brushed his teeth and then helped me pack his lunch. It was a good morning. We were a little behind getting out the door but all in all we had a great morning.

We get to the school and the line into the parking lot was crazy so we decided to park on the street. Thomas had left his backpack at school on Thursday so he only had his lunch box but Jacob had his backpack, Thomas' from last year. We went in and dropped of Thomas and then Jacob started. He wanted to stay and go to class. I told him that we would go to class later. I'm thinking we are going to have to play class. He then held onto my leg all the way to the car pouting and saying 'I want Bubba.' He never really cried but he almost did when we walked off from the class, it broke my heart. Last year he was still young enough to not really notice Bubba being gone but this year, a totally different story.

Dear Lord - Please be with Jacob and I as we adjust to Thomas being at school. Please be with Thomas as he adjust to being in school again. Please be with Sarah and her family as they adjust to this new 'life'. In Your Name - Amen
