Random Things

Well Jacob has been going to Sonshine School now for 2 weeks and he loves it. It has been hard for me to figure out what to do during that time. I've had lunch with Eric, walked around some stores that aren't kid friendly(read: lots of breakables), gone grocery shopping, and just come home and sat. He talks about going to school almost everyday and wakes up wanting to know if today he gets to see Mrs. T. His favorite things to do at school right now are eating and dancing. When asked what he did at school that day he answers with 'I eat and dance.' And those are the important things in life you know. He has grown up so much. He will now talk to Eric about his day when before I had to tell Eric and Jacob would just giggle. He still does a lot of giggling but...!

Thomas is doing awesome in school this year! I'm so proud of him. He has grown so much over the past few months. He loves his teacher. He is doing so well in his reading and writting. He is writing all the time now. He loves to make up words too, I call them Thomas words. He will write something and then ask what it says. I tell him 'I'm not sure what that says. Is it a Thomas word?' And he will answer 'Yes.' With a huge smile and an added giggle. I just love to see him smile and hear him laugh. We still have our down days at school but they are few and far between. He has weekly spelling test and he has pasted all of them. The last one he had he miss spelled a couple of words but he got the bonus word right. It was September. I was and am so proud of him for getting that bonus word right. Go THOMAS! Thomas will be 7 on Friday. Oh where oh where did the time go. It seems just like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. We are having his party on Saturday at the park. He is so excited. Thomas is also in soccer again this season and loving it.

Eric is still working lots of long hours. He is tired some but he keeps hanging in there. How? I'm not sure, but I'm so thankful for him and what he does for our family. I love him so much.

Me? Well I'm adjusting to everything that is going on and trying to learn how to manage my time, again. It seems like that is a never ending battle. Well that is an update on the family.

Dear Lord - Thank you for everything You do for our family. Please watch over our family as we go from day to day. In Your Name - Amen

How are you enjoying the "free" time?

Enjoy that free time! It's so important for our sanity to do that - even if it is just sitting for a bit and enjoying the quiet. I'm so proud of your little men!
