I'm still here, I've just been busy lately. A lot of things have happened since I wrote last. I will do my best to keep it short and sweet.
First off Jacob and Thomas are both doing great in school. Jacob still loves to go to school and when we turn onto the frontage road and he can see the chruch he starts with 'I can see my school!' Thomas is doing very well. We are working on a couple of things with him. Tying shoes, any advice on that would be helpful, and reading better. He can read but he needs to be a little bit stronger. When I'm in the room he acts as if he can't read but as soon as I leave the room he can read. Please pray that I'm able to be patient with him and help him to develop a love of reading like I do. Eric and I are doing good and trying to keep up with the boys. They can wear a person out!
We went to Illinois for Thanksgiving to see Eric's family and take care of some things. It was a good trip but I'm so glad to be back home. We were busy the whole time we were there. One day we went out to the farm and looked around, we went to The Garden of the Gods (more on that later). We had lots of fun but like I said we are glad to be home.
Now we are in full swing for Christmas. We had our Couples Night Out last weekend and got started on some shopping. We have a few things left to get but they should be easy. We finally got our tree, it's not up yet but we have it. The only thing we have decorated is the outside of the house but the house lights aren't staying on, the fuse keeps blowing. I'm hopefully going to get the Christmas decorations down this weekend and put up. I just love the Christmas season. I love the hussle and bussle, the smiling faces you see everywhere, the love that you can feel. I also love the Christmas music. I have a rule that no Christmas music is to be played in my car or house until the day after Thanksgiving. Eric roles his eyes and laughs when I pull out the Christmas music. He knows that it will be played pretty much non stop till Christmas is over. It is so hard for me to put my Christmas music up. If it didn't bug Eric I would listen to it all year round.
Well that was hopefully a short and sweet update on what has been going on in the Ray house. Hope everyone has a great Christmas season. Peace, Joy & Love
Dear Lord - Please be with everyone as they travel this season or are just out and about. Please be with Eric and I as we try to teach the boys the true meaning of Christmas. Also please be with my Nannie as she fell last week and broke her leg. Help her to heal and not be in too much pain. Please be with AD and the rest of the family as we take care of her. In Your Name - Amen
